Robert Parcells conquered over stage-4 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma with an indomitable will, fitness & nutrition

Robert Parcells Cancer Fight

A couple of years ago, I was reading through a book called  Dying To Be “Me” by Anita Moorjani. The book itself is about Anita’s fight with Cancer, A case of Stage-4 Hodgkin’s lymphoma and how she battled to come out of it. More than the battle itself, Anita delves into her spiritual / out of body experiences when she had almost lost the battle against the disease. She talks about her own choice that made her come out of the disease & live a fruitful life fearlessly.

In October of 2017, I was looking for some true inspiration I could write about on this website. As I was going through my Instagram feed, I stumbled upon this photo of a gentleman named Robert Parcells:

The difference in both the photos was marked. The boy on the left had lost every inch of his hair. While on the right, I was looking at a strong Spartan ( As I later realized). Intrigued, I immediately followed Robert & browsed through his feed. Some research confirmed my doubts. It was clear that Robert had recently fought successfully, a battle against Cancer; All of this at 21 years of age. Curiously, I DM’d him & waited for his response. Robert responded almost immediately. Having confirmed his victory over the illness, I was sure in my mind that this is a story that the world ought to hear and that gave birth to an audio-cast on YogicDesire. This is a 40-minute unedited interview I did with Robert & I recommend you to use earphones to listen to every second of Robert’s inspiring story.

A Little bit about Robert Parcells

Before you scroll down and hit the play button, Here’s a little bit about Robert. He is a 21-year-old who has always been a track n field & gymnasium enthusiast through school. Robert has completed the Spartan Trifecta event in 2016. For those who haven’t heard of the Spartan races before, the Spartan Races are obstacle races which test the participant endurance to the limit. Each race is of varying distances and difficulty. The 3 core races are – The Spartan Sprint, The Spartan Beast, and The Spartan Super. When a participant completes all these three races in one calendar year, It’s called a Trifecta. Robert completed his Trifecta in 2016. It was after the Spartan races that he was diagnosed with a Cancer that had already advanced. A loving family, an integrated friend circle, oodles of his positive attitude, An indomitable will, some excellent hospital care from the Seattle Children’s hospital & a strong physical body ( probably owing to all the training done before the illness) helped Robert battle and win over his disease.
